Privacy Policy

Who we are

Edmonton Acrobatic Gymnastics is a provider of gymnastics related services in the greater Edmonton area.   Services include coaching, consulting, judging and training.

Our website address is: https://www.edmontonacro.ca.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

To register in our programs, we may collect some personal information including third party emergency contact information to allow us to manage our programs.  Emergency contact information will only be used in the event of an emergency where we can not contact the primary individual(s) in a timely manner.   We request email addresses and cell phone numbers to provide us with a way to send important class updates or urgent messages to our clients.  From time to time, we may send marketing information related to our programming to existing clients.

Who we share your data with

As members of the Alberta Gymnastics Federation (AGF), we share some of your registration with the federation in order to manage memberships and insurance information.  AGF may also share some information with other gymnastics agencies in order to provide services that the federation manages. This includes, but is not limited to GCG (Gymnastics Canada) and other member clubs such as for competition and event registration.

We provide each member with a PIPA (Personal Information and Privacy Act) release to provide an opportunity to share additional information including photographs of you or your children for additional purposes such as marketing.  This permission may be denied or revoked at anytime by contacting us directly either by email or telephone.

We do not share your personal or contact information with any third parties for the purposes or marketing or analytics other than those indicated in this privacy statement.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Analytics

Who we share your data with

We collect various non-identifying information during your interaction with our website, including IP address in order to provide analytical analysis of visitors and their activity. This aids us in developing better services such as better search criteria and navigation to provide ongoing improvements to the website experience and program information.  This non-identifying information is shared with analytics providers such as Google to process and display the information to us.  Google Analytics provides their own Privacy Policy that indicates how they further may share this information.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
