Competitive Programs
Pre-Competitive Team
Ages: 6-12
Hours: 3 per week
Days:
– Saturday (Sept-June)
– Fridays (July/August)
Program: Developmental Testing Program and USDP Levels 2-5
Our Pre-Competitive team is designed to prepare young athletes for our competitive programs. Training focuses on working our exclusive developmental testing program where participants focus on personal improvement in physical preparedness. It additionally incorporates the USA Gymnastics (USAG) Acro Developmental Program (ADP) partner acrobatic skills, levels 2 through 5. The ADP program is level based gradually progressing athletes through compulsory skills becoming more and more advanced as the level increases. The pre-competitive levels are designed to allow athletes to try out both base and top positions. As a preparation program for competitive levels, athletes in this program may be invited to the competitive programs if positions open up and they are ready for the challenge.
Provincial Team
Ages: 7-18
Hours: 6h per week
Days: Monday, Friday
Program: USDP Levels 5
Our Provincial Competitive team works with the USA Gymnastics (USAG) Acro Developmental Program (ADP). The ADP program is level based gradually progressing athletes through compulsory skills and choreography becoming more and more advanced as the level increases.
This team requires domestic travel within Alberta.
Additional optional travel opportunities may be available including other provinces and the USA (eg. Vegas Acro Cup). All optional opportunities are at the digression of the coach and require a mutual agreement and commitment by all members of an assigned partnerships. No extra travel opportunities are guaranteed to any group or participant and are dependent on a variety of factors including timing, cost and mutual agreement of partnership.
National Team
Ages: 9-30 (Including adult athletes)
Hours: 9h per week
Days: (Team A): Monday, Friday, Saturday or
Days (Team B): Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday
Programs: USDP Level 7-8, Youth
Our National Competitive Team is a high performance program that incorporates both the USDP Levels 7 and 9 and the international Youth program which is based on Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) Age Group 1 (11-16).
This team is split into two training groups, Team A and Team B to better facilitate training times allowing the coaching staff to work closer with he athletes in smaller groups for more effective athlete development. Coaches will assign athletes to teams A and B to ensure the best partnerships for a successful competitive season.
This program requires domestic travel throughout Canada.
Additional optional travel opportunities may be available including North, South an Central America (Pan Am Countries). All optional opportunities require a mutual agreement and commitment by all members of an assigned partnerships. No international travel opportunities are guaranteed to any group or participant and are dependent on a variety of factors including timing, cost and mutual agreement of partnership.
